Dada Maheshvarananda was a lecturer
at the Eco-92 Global Forum in Rio de
Janeiro, and was one of the founders
of the Inter-religious Campaign Against
Hunger led by Herbert de Souza (“Betinho”).
In April 2000 he was on the organizing
committee of the protests against the
World Bank and International Monetary
Fund in Washington, DC that mobilized
40,000 people. He has written three
books on Prout, including After Capitalism:
Prout's Vision for a New World, and
published more than 60 articles in different
international journals. He has lectured
at more than 30 universities and given
hundreds of seminars and workshops around
the world about social issues and spiritual
values.
In December 2003 the national petroleum
company of Venezuela (PDVSA) contracted
Dada Maheshvarananda and Dr. Michael
Towsey, a university lecturer from Australia,
to give training to two groups of their
supervisors in Prout economic development
planning
